Not only did Runes of Magic win the ‘International Game of the Year 2009′ at the German Game Developer Awards, but it also announced that since the game launched earlier this year, Runes of Magic has surpassed more then 2.5 million registered players.
One thing to make clear is that “registered players” does not equal “active players”. However for a game that has only been out since March 2009, 2.5 million is pretty good.
